Binge Eating Disorder

Besides the Anorexia and Bulimia exists other Disorders within the context of the Eating Disorders, are the denominated ones; Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (E.D.N.O.S).

These do not fulfil in a strict way the criteria of the specific Eating Disorders as they are the Anorexia and Bulimia Nervosa.

 · Binge Eating Disorder

Among them we can find the Binge Eating Disorder. This deserves a special attention, since the affected people are used to have an important overweight and in its history it is possible to be seen that they have already passed through different diets and cycles of weight.

The person who suffers a disorder of this type, consumes great amounts of foods in short periods of time, they feel out of control when they are eating and experiences sensations of culpability and shame after doing it.

These people share certain psychological characteristics that they occur in the Bulimia as it is the low self-esteem, depression, affective instability; exaggerated concern about food, the image and the weight.
